In All Circumstances

DAY 3 OF 12

The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

It’s so easy to blame. We do it all the time. It’s easy to blame because then we don’t have to examine ourselves, just blame others. What if we were the type of person that does not blame, even when things go wrong? Instead of blaming, we chose to give grace. We LOVE when grace is given to us, especially when we are so undeserving of the grace given.

Has there ever been a time in your life where you deserved to be punished, but for whatever reason, you were not? Do you remember what a great feeling that was? Maybe your debt was forgiven, or the teacher forgot you had detention or the police officer just gave you a warning for speeding and you did not get a ticket.  That is what grace feels like–to get a free pass.

God’s grace is so much greater. God loves when we are unlovable. God gives grace even when we don’t even notice or are appreciative. God’s grace has given us eternal life. Talk about the gift that keeps on giving!  That is exactly what God’s grace does...it keeps on giving. Today, choose to give grace. Start catching yourself when you start to blame and make a conscious effort to give grace instead of judgment

Father,

Thank You for your abundant grace. We cannot completely comprehend Your endless love because we are human, but I am so thankful that You love and accept me the way You do. God, I want to have a loving heart like Yours and to always give grace. Teach me, I am willing to learn.
