In All Circumstancesنموونە
With praise and thanksgiving they sang to the Lord.
We need to cultivate a thankful heart always. Being thankful is a choice one makes throughout their day. Have you ever noticed someone who always seems to be in a good mood no matter what circumstances they are going through? Usually this person has chosen to trust in God and see His blessings, even through the difficult situations.
To choose to be thankful can take on many forms in a person’s life. If you are a working mom, thank the people in your life that are taking care of your children while you are at work. Thank God for giving you a job to provide income for your family. Thank God for the blessing of your children and the joy that they bring to your life. Remember to thank God for even the smallest of things that we sometimes take for granted like electricity, indoor plumbing, and even grocery stores full of food.
Thank God for the relationships in your life–family and friends that bring you so many blessings. Family and friends help ease the heavy burden of parenting your children. To be able to call a friend and ask them to watch your child while you run errands is a huge blessing. Give thanks to God for those types of friends and tell your friend how grateful you are for their help and friendship.
We are blessed everyday in so many ways. So many times we become unaware or worse…ungrateful for the blessing in our lives. Become a person who is known for their cheerful heart and thankful attitude. It will not only change your world, but it could also change the people around you.
Father,
Thank You for this day. Thank You for the sunshine or the rain. God, I need to remember, always, that You go before me and You alone orchestrate my days. You provide me with what I need and when I need it. Help me to always be thankful and never to take anything in life for granted.
