Self-Harm And God's Loveنموونە
"Jesus Knows Our Hurt"
We know the process of letting go of the pain and shame is not easy. However, Jesus has gone through similar rejection, hate, loneliness, and abandonment. When he did this, he experienced the same emotions and feelings we have. He did this willingly so we could be forgiven. We should not believe that our situation is worse than everyone else’s and that we are beyond forgiveness. Jesus died for all sin and offers forgiveness and peace to each of us.
If we want to get past the temptation of trying to handle this alone, we need to commit to giving it to Jesus. We need to ask him to walk with us and we need to talk with him whenever those old feelings start creeping into our mindset. Jesus knows all and is there for us. The question is whether we are willing to trust that he will help us.
