No Shadow Of Fear

DAY 5 OF 7

Do not fear

The phrase ‘do not fear’ appears in the bible over 300 times. I have often wondered why this was the case. Then, I realize God knew that we may encounter many situations that cause fear to arise.

It may seem counterintuitive, but fear often causes us to walk away from God. This shows that we doubt, or are yet to fully believe, the power of the Word working in our lives. However, it is assuring to know provision has been made possible by the constant reminder given by God himself. Do not fear. Do not fear. Do not fear.

The Bible says our High Priest, Jesus, understands our weaknesses, for He faced all of the same testings we do, yet He did not sin. As our High Priest, we can rely on Him to make intercession for us to overcome fearful situations.

If at any point fear has caused you to withdraw from God, in prayer and fellowship with Him, be encouraged to draw near Him today.

He truly is the solution.

Prayer:
Father, help me keep my focus on You. May I rely on You and Your word. May I draw close to You in prayer and cast my cares on You.
