Stained Glass: Eve's Storyنموونە
God Always Makes a Way
For You
Adam and Eve were seeking what they already had. They had a perfect relationship with God. The Garden represents life in harmony with God: Beautiful, unspoiled, uninhibited, and free. Adam and Eve, like us oftentimes, just didn’t see it. The result was a loss unbearable to Adam, Eve, and God. God just would not let us - let you - go. He wants a relationship with you. He is pursuing you. That is why He sent Jesus to take our punishment - so that we could be free to live in concert with Him. The end of the Garden is but the beginning of the greatest love story in history.
For Your Child
Ask this Question: What do you think it feels like to lose something you love because of something you did? (spend a few minutes discussing the answers)
That’s what happened to Adam and Eve. They ate from the tree God told them to leave alone. As a result, they had to leave their perfect garden, never to return. When we sin we hurt God, but we hurt ourselves even more. We become separated from what we need most - a relationship with God. God didn’t want to be apart from His children, so He created a way for them to come back to Him. He sent Jesus, His only son, to take our punishment for sin. If we believe that Jesus died for us, we can have our sins forgiven and never have to worry about them again. Then we will have a relationship with God forever. God loves you that much!
