Coping With Dwindling Financesنموونە
Is it really possible to not worry about anything? Monthly bills come due and there are the expenses of daily living. What about that unexpected emergency that eats up your “just in case” fund? It’s not as if you can flip a switch and the worry is gone. No matter how positive you try to be, the worry is right there under the surface.
PRAY: Fill me with your peace that supersedes all rational thought.
If you’re having trouble connecting what you know with what you feel, read Paul’s words of advice in Philippians:
READ: Philippians 4:6–7
REFLECT: Your human understanding can only take you so far. God’s peace, the ability to trust him for all that you need, is not something you can conjure up. What role does Christ Jesus have in keeping your heart and mind safe? When you ask God for what you need with a “thankful heart” you are declaring your ultimate trust in God that he will take care of what you need.
RESPOND: What is your biggest worry right now? It will help you to state what it is, put your worry on hold, and turn to God in prayer.

About this Plan
When it seems like your finances are out of control—when it feels like there’s no way to find a sense of peace—you can turn to the solace of Scripture. Even when it seems to us like God doesn’t see our burdens—we discover that he feels our heartaches. He intimately understands our anxieties and worries. And he wants us to bring those worries to him.
