A Thankful Heartنموونە
SAVED BY JESUS ALONE
The righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17
One man, Adam, brought sin into the world, and one Man, Jesus, dealt with it.
Romans 5:20-21 reads, “But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Before Christ came into the world, people had to live by the law, which exposed sin in their lives. However, we can’t be saved simply by obeying the law. It took the Son of God, Jesus Christ, to come into this world and to die for our sins so we could believe in Him and have eternal life. That is how it works. The law cannot save us, but it shows us the sin in our lives. It is grace that saves us – undeserved lovingkindness.
Since we are all saved by grace, we have no right to be judgmental of other people. Rather, we are called to be compassionate and full of mercy, because if it were not for the grace of God, we would all be in exactly the same place.
There is no hope for us outside the grace of Christ, so let us believe and be grateful.
Dear Jesus, thank You for Your saving grace. Give me a right understanding of Your law and compassion for all of Your creation. Amen.
