The Craving And The Cure: How To Align Your Dreams To God's Desiresنموونە
Day 6 - Appreciation - What do I have that is better than what I want?
Manna was the food of the Lord’s favor. Meat was the food of the people’s choice. Manna was the Lord’s provision. Meat was an outward expression of the people’s greed. Manna was undeserved but also greatly unappreciated. Meat was begged for with undesirable results.
The anger of the Lord burned because of what the Israelites craved. His anger resulted in a severe plague. It burdens my heart to imagine that what I want would be repulsive to the Lord. If the Israelites would have maintained a grateful heart for the true miracle that manna was, then maybe they wouldn’t have mourned the food of bondage so heavily. If their cravings brought on the problem, surely gratefulness for what they had would have been the cure.
Heart Check: Have you appreciated the supernatural provisions of God that have become commonplace in your life?
Prayer: Lord of love, I choose to appreciate the little things that show me how big You truly are. Your love will never fail me, even in those times when I fail You. Thank You for mercy. Please remind my heart to marvel at the supernatural provision that You make for me each day. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

About this Plan
Have you ever wondered if the dreams that you have for your life mirror God's desires for your life? How do you know? Over the next seven days we will walk together to submit our dreams and cravings to God and listen for His response. As we walk through Numbers 11 we will hear the Israelites' desires, cravings, and wishes and listen for God’s answers, provision and dreams for His children then and for us now.
