The Craving And The Cure: How To Align Your Dreams To God's Desiresنموونە
Day 5 - Reflection - Why don’t I have it now?
Supernatural provision had become commonplace, so they begged for meat. Manna came daily. It composted naturally. The Israelites wanted more than a miracle. They wanted meat. They craved it. They fussed and complained about not tasting it.
They rejected the manna because they wanted meat. So God gave them quail. Quail are birds. Unlike manna that could be consumed in its entirety with little to no waste, live quail were noisy, stinky, and taking up space. After quail had been eaten there were feathers, beaks, eyes, bones and blood. I’m sure the quail changed the “atmosphere” of camp. This is why God gave manna and not meat.
Heart Check: Have you thought through the full picture of what you are asking God for? What will you lose? What will you gain? Is there a divine reason you don’t have it now?
Prayer: Gracious Father, bless my sight to reflect Your goodness and Your grace. May I always remember that You are not hiding good from me, but rather Your paths hold all the goodness my heart can handle. Help me to understand even in the most difficult of situations. Lord, help me to trust Your "yes" and Your "no".

Over the next seven days we will walk together to submit our dreams and cravings to God and listen for His response.
