DAY 69 OF 81

NUMBERS 3:
Yesterday in the book of Numbers we heard about the organization of Israel's camp, having three tribes on each of the four sides of the tabernacle. This also determined their marching positions when the whole group moved.

PSALM 27:
Psalm 27 is a beautiful song, expressing David's confidence in the Lord’s protection, and he asks the Lord to vindicate him.

LUKE 18b:
Yesterday in the first half of Luke chapter 18, Jesus told the parable of the persistent widow and the one about the Pharisee and the tax collector. And we heard Jesus' surprising response to the rich young man.

Let me start us out in prayer today:
Heavenly Father, we heard David’s words in Psalm 26. He wanted so much that you would hear him in his prayer. And in Luke 18 you have told us that we should always pray and never become discouraged. You are NOT like an unrighteous judge. You will listen, and we thank You for listening to our every prayer. And you have told us in Luke 18 that we should not trust in our own goodness and look down on other people. Lord we bow before you. Right now we humble ourselves before you. And we realize that nothing we have done means anything. Lord we come to you now as a child. We drop all our pretenses and come to you without a thing. May we have a child-like attitude, that we might truly belong to your kingdom. We come in simplicity, without the things that we own, without thinking of our position. We leave all the things that distract us from you. And with child-like love we say, Please lay your hands on us today, and give us your blessing.
