Treasures From God: Devotions From Time of Graceنموونە
I ache for my children
Dear kids,
Your mom and I want you to know how much we love you. We will always love you, always, no matter what. We have tried to be good parents, although we realize that we often fall short. We see you as God’s gifts to us. Thank you for all the joy you’ve brought us.
You’re grown up enough now that you are pretty much on your own. You don’t ask us much anymore and sure don’t tell us what’s happening in your lives. That’s okay, I suppose. You’re big now. You want to show that you can handle things on your own. We want you to know, though, that we are always here for you. We may be able to help you work your way through something that we’ve already faced. We don’t want you to have to struggle any more than you have to.
The most important heritage that we can leave you, more important than money, is our faith. We have done our best to help you get to know your Creator, Savior, and Counselor. We can’t believe for you. Our greatest wish and prayer for you is that you will claim it as your own.
“My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity” (Proverbs 3:1,2).
