Enjoy The View
The last thing I want is for you to read this devotional and to think that there is no time to rest after overcoming the climb up the mountain. Many times in the bible we see Jesus leaving the disciples so that He can pray in peace. Jesus made time to rest and speak with his father in a place where he could be completely focused on Him. In Matthew 11:28 Jesus says "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Rest is such a good thing!
We live in a society where culture says your worth is based on how much you have, how hard you work, and how much of your life you’re willing to give up in exchange for paper (or whatever your currency may be.) I one hundred percent support hard work and I push myself to be one of the hardest working people I know. However, if I were to choose to spend all of my time working to where I’m only focused on the next thing, I would completely miss the opportunity to enjoy the fruit from the work that I have completed. Your worth to Jesus is so much more than the amount of followers you have, your social status, your appearance, or whatever lie that culture has told you. God made you, you. On purpose. For a reason. You are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Focus: Today celebrate you. Yes, you read that right! Grab a coffee (or an ice cream), grab your bible, search for some peace and quiet, and spend some time resting in The Lord’s presence. No TV, no iPhone, no computer, no schedules, and no distractions. Celebrate the blessings The Lord has done in your life. Reflect on who God says you are. Remind yourself that God leaves the ninety-nine for you. Spend today enjoying the view!

About this Plan
Above The Clouds is a devotional intended for those whose life is going well right now. While we celebrate our victories on the mountain top we can lose sight of our neighbors in the valley. I pray this devotional encourages you to refocus your eyes, even when life is good, so that we may continue to love people the way Jesus does—even if that means coming down from above the clouds.
