The CLINIC – How To Rebound From Setbacksنموونە
When rebounding from a setback…
Remember you are not alone. None of us would be where we are today without the connections of the people around us. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes, “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.”
Relationships are critical to your success and to strengthening your soul. No one can live life alone. As much as we love individualism, it must be balanced with the realization no one can achieve success without the help of others. We are completely interwoven and dependent on each other in almost every aspect of our lives.
Just pause for a moment and look around you. Everything you see has input from others – the clothes you are wearing, the books you read, the vehicle you drive, the food you eat – they all have had the touch of someone other than yourself. We are not alone in life; we are not an island. Rather, we are part of an extensive interwoven fabric, and we are all dependent on each other. The world operates through connections and relationships.
All that will last in this world is the Word of God and people. Everything else is temporal. So as you are investing in others, your actions are of eternal significance.
Every incredible opportunity will come into your life disguised as a relationship. We are designed by God to give and take at the same time in order to improve the quality of one another’s lives. Recognize the immense value of the people in your life, not simply for what they provide you emotionally and relationally, but also for what they can provide you professionally, academically and in every other arena of life.
Whatever you hope to become and whatever you hope to achieve, you will achieve largely with the help of others.
