The CLINIC – How To Rebound From Setbacksنموونە
When rebounding from a setback…
Don’t stop believing. God will never start something that he cannot finish. When he put the dream in your heart, the dream to write a book, the dream to start a business, the dream to have your own ministry, God already had a completion date. Don’t give up. Be persistent.
Persistence is continuing in an opinion or course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition. Persistence is ‘keeping on keeping on’. Persistence is working your plan even when you don’t see immediate results. Persistence is consistent effort, maintained daily. Persistence is a trait of greatness and is essential in everyone who has a dream or a goal.
Calvin Coolidge said, “Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On!’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
Persistence is not giving up, or giving in, or giving way. Persistence is staying the course and continuing, even though it will be tough. In Philippians, Paul says, “forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” He was determined. He was persistent. He was committed.
If you are rebounding from a setback, don’t let past disappointments or problems cause you to give up. Stay in the game, and stay committed. Persistence is the key to winning this time around. Don’t stop believing.
