Mountain Moving FaithMostra
God’s biggest desire for every believer is to bring us into a close relationship with Him. Once we’ve trusted Jesus as Savior, then the work of His grace begins. The church calls this sanctification. This is the process where God works His wholeness, His fullness, and grows our trust in His sovereignty. With mountain moving faith, you will find more opportunities to grow closer to God.
When I left my full-time position, I remember God was so personal to prepare me for my exit. He not only asked me to trust Him but grew my strength to obey in each step. I took some time to pray through my feelings about leaving, because it was difficult, but it brought a ton of spiritual healing.
I soon came to understand how to follow God in His nudges. He will give you the grace and strength to do the same. God was working out my faith with “fear and trembling." Paul talked about this in Philippians 2:12 “Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear." As we look at the context of this verse, Paul was encouraging the obedience of the Philippian church. Even though he was in prison and not with them as he once was, he tells them to obey God so that they remain energetic, reverent, and sensitive before God.
Reverence of God relates to trust. You won’t follow a leader you don’t trust. Paul also told the church, the passion they must follow and obey was given to them by God. And this is where we get to level up with God’s destiny for our lives. God’s will involves working through you, not abuse you. He tests your faith to strengthen it and molds you into His likeness. He does the impossible by giving you the grace and strength you need to obey Him. Our faith gives Him great pleasure and He rewards believers with many spiritual benefits.
We can’t muster up this kind of mountain moving faith on our own. We must be fortified by our trust in Him which also prepares us for the climb.
