Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Exodus 20:3  

Lord God, 

I pray for our brothers who have allowed other gods to come before You. Maybe it’s sports, hunting, partying, their wife, or kids. Lord, show them that anything, no matter what it is or how helpful it might be, is to take a backseat to You.  

I ask that You show our brothers the way to healing. Lord, too many brothers are trapped by their lust in addictions, adultery, and sexual sin. Help them, Father, to see how destructive these obsessions are. 

They not only steal the light away from You, but they bury men even farther into slavery. Help our brothers understand that by focusing on You, that You shall care and provide for the rest. I thank You for Your words in Exodus 20:3 and Deuteronomy 5:7.

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray, Amen
