God Made Man: Discovering Your Purpose

Dia 10 de 31

Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.
1 Corinthians 6:18

Holy Father,

Today You have placed the burden of infidelity on my heart. Lord, I pray for our brothers who battle the flesh. Father, I said the burden of infidelity instead of saying the sin of infidelity because our brothers understand it is a grave sin, but most do not understand that it is a burden.

Many brothers who act out sexually do not know why they do so. Many promise to behave and be loyal, and in their hearts they truly do wish to be faithful. But the chains of Satan's temptation to pursue the flesh are more powerful than our brothers' own will to flee.

This, my Lord is their burden, which causes their sin. Brothers continue to relive this act of defiance, oath-breaking, and covetousness each time they flirt, text, bait-click pornography, steal a simple kiss at the after-work happy hour, or commit to long-term or repeated sexual affairs.

I pray that they seek Your will to delete, erase, or block women who they hide from their wives on social media or texting. Help them know the joy of marital purity by busting those chains that drag them down through sexual sin.

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray, Amen
