God's Redemption Story (Revelation)

DAY 19 OF 40

We Are in a Spiritual Battle - Day 19

Revelation details lots of ways that our world will devolve as time wears on, and it’s important to recognize the kinds of destruction. Between the seals, trumpets, and bowls, all the judgments are natural—earthquakes, disease, bad water, bad air, stars falling, etc. None of the judgments is a political party, an ideology, a skin color, a lifestyle, or pop culture.

In the last election, did your candidate win or lose? Did your law pass or fail? Does it matter? Not a bit. We get all riled up about politics, pundits, and messages circling social media, while only two facts are important.

1. Satan is our enemy.

2. Jesus is the victor.

Let’s set aside our petty battles with people who disagree with us on human social issues and focus on the real battle, the spiritual battle. The people we want to fight with truly need Jesus, so if they don’t know him, it’s up to us to share him.
