Fear Is Not My Future | 21 Days of Prayer and Fastingনমুনা
Just as when you are a child learning to ride a bike, your parents usually prepare you for crashes. They help you put on knee and elbow pads, but the most important piece of protection is the helmet to protect your head in the event of a crash. Similarly, in our spiritual journey, the helmet of salvation is our ultimate defense against the crashes of spiritual warfare.
As we come to the last two important armor pieces, we understand that soldiers would have put on their helmets when facing danger. The helmet, made of metal and other materials, hot and uncomfortable, was not just a piece of equipment but a powerful symbol of protection to make a soldier feel safe. This is why, as parents, we place a helmet on our children because if they experienced head trauma, the knee and elbow pads would not matter.
As believers, we can take comfort in the fact that God provides the helmet of salvation for our spiritual protection and readiness. This helmet is not just a piece of equipment but a powerful symbol of our safety in the spiritual battle we face. It is placed on us when we trust in the work of Jesus Christ by faith, a testament to His unwavering love and protection.
As believers, it is crucial that we are equipped and prepared for the spiritual battle that we are in. This battle is not against flesh and blood but against the forces of evil. We must be vigilant and protect our minds at all costs by putting on the helmet of salvation, our ultimate defense.
Take the time to read, meditate, and pray over Romans 12:2, allowing the Spirit to renew your mind.
