Living in Increase (Part 9) - Increase in Healthনমুনা
A Broken Spirit
Proverbs 17:22 says a “broken spirit saps a person’s strength.” I wonder how many of us have gone through seasons in life where, no matter how hard we tried, life was just rough. Like, rough. It doesn’t matter if we have the nicest homes, cars, friends, family, jobs, etc. If our spirits are broken, we will feel weak.
If that’s where you find yourself today, I want to encourage you. A cheerful heart is “good medicine” to a broken spirit (Proverbs 17:22). Having a “cheerful heart” may seem out of reach to you right now, but know that your joy is not based on your circumstances. It’s based on Jesus.
Ephesians 6:10 tells us to “be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.” If your spirit is broken today, know that strength is available to you through the love of God. Remember, part of getting healthy is realizing that we’re unhealthy. If you know your spirit is broken and need a cheerful heart restored, seek God today. He will surely answer!
