A Year in Luke/Actsনমুনা

We previously saw Jesus publicly heal a woman in the synagogue on the Sabbath in Luke 13:10-17. Now, in the very next chapter, he healed a man suffering from abnormal swelling of his body at the house of a Pharisee. Some believe that the Pharisees essentially planted this man to see if Jesus would heal on the Sabbath.
Through the examples of Jesus healing on the Sabbath in the Gospels, we can understand how he truly celebrated the Sabbath. He brought restoration and renewal. Yes, we can seek rest in our Sabbath rhythms, but within that, we must ultimately focus on Sabbath restoration. By inviting others into this story of restoration, we in turn bring heaven to earth.
