All Who Are Weary: God Is My Delivererনমুনা
God Hears Our Distress
If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in Your presence before this temple that bears Your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and You will hear us and save us. -2Chronicles 20:9
The Promise: God Hears Me in My Distress.
Go ahead. Get real with God. Cry, scream, throw your questions at Him. Whatever you need to do to release the tension in your body, mind, and spirit; let it out. God is no stranger to distress, and He longs to comfort you in your disheveled state. Bare your heart to Him, be honest, and believe that He hears the groans of your heart. The promise is that He will hear you, and He will save you. In the tension, you are tethered to the one who listens and calms the calamity.

Try This: Coloring
Pull out your crayons, colored pencils, and paper. Get creative, let your emotions and questions come onto the page through coloring. There are no rules when it comes to this; simply let your hand move how it wants, pick up different colors and let them mix. Let the freeness of gliding your crayon or pencil across the page loosen the knots in your body. Stand back and look at the finished product and be satisfied.
