Selecting the Right Leaders: Part IV

As many businesses rebound from the pandemic, some may be looking for new talented leaders. In Deuteronomy 1:13, God told Moses to select wise, discerning and experienced leaders.

The final attribute we’re discussing in our series is experienced. The original Hebrew word discusses those who are known or recognized or are respected for their experience and skills. Gaining notable experience takes time and effort that would be hard to keep disguised or go unnoticed.

It reflects well on your business when you select a leader who is respected or known for their industry experience. Proverbs 31 describes a very industrious, experienced and respected woman.

She was so respected that in Proverbs 31:23, we read, “Her husband is known in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land.”

She was so renowned even those associated with her were highly esteemed. If she was close to one or another it signaled to those around her that the individual was of high quality as well.

Wouldn’t you like your business to be known for the experience and respect of the leaders you hire? Combining wisdom, discernment, and experience will help you select effective leaders.
