7 Devotions to Lead Day by Day and Night by Nightনমুনা
Authority to Lead
Nehemiah went to Jerusalem to accomplish God’s vision as a part of God’s plan found in the Bible. God placed his word into Nehemiah, giving him the authority to lead.
When Ezra was present, he provided spiritual leadership through the law of God, which gave him the authority he needed to lead. When you read the Bible and follow the Holy Spirit daily, God will also give you the spiritual authority to lead in your workplace and community.
Positions and titles do not give us the authority to lead. When you walk through the fire in your leadership and face decision-making challenges, a position or a title may not see you through.
I hope you realize that the Bible will see you through. God’s Word is your authority to lead. Leaders who follow God’s instruction may pay a high price. But what God says is more important than what anyone else says. As a Christ-follower, you should do what the Lord says even if it costs you personally or professionally. As a follower of Christ, will you let the Bible be your source for your leadership and decision-making?
Declare: I will lead from the authority of the Bible, God’s Word.
God, give me the courage to let the Bible be my source for leading and decision-making. Amen.
