Have you ever asked God for a flashing sign? An obvious answer or clear direction? Have you ever thought about how you would respond if you actually got that sign? Gideon asked God for a sign, and God responded. And Gideon needed another sign . . . just in case.

We like to make excuses for why we are doing our own thing or why we aren’t doing what we know we ought to. How often do we tell ourselves we are just waiting for a sign? Perhaps instead of asking for a flashing sign, we should be asking ourselves what is keeping us from trusting God.
