What Jesus Said About Assurance of Salvationনমুনা
The Resurrection: We can be sure that we are saved because of the resurrection of Jesus.
But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain, and your faith is in vain (1 Corinthians 15:14).
By His great mercy, He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, reserved in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power for the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time (1 Peter 1:3-5).
You will greatly benefit from reading 1 Corinthians 15 in its entirety.
Josh MacDowell said: "The resurrection of Jesus can be proved in any court of law. There is enough evidence for it. There is compelling evidence which proves the resurrection beyond a reasonable doubt." In his book The Resurrection Factor, he studied the Biblical story about the resurrection. This study researched all possible angels and Biblical information about the resurrection.
Billy Graham: There is more evidence that Jesus rose from the dead than there is that Julius Caesar ever lived or that Alexander the Great died at the age of thirty-three.
1. You must take time and make sure you understand the centrality of the resurrection of Jesus. Reading and rereading 1 Corinthians 15 would be of great help.
2. Why do we need to emphasise both the cross and the resurrection when we tell people about Jesus and how to be sure of eternal salvation?
The cross and the resurrection of Jesus are the core of the gospel - this is the Christian's message to the world.
