Suggestion
1. Ask three friends to do this study with you. (Men and women are in separate groups of 4 each.)
2. Everybody does the study on their own.
3. When all 4 finished the study, meet and discuss what you have discovered.
4. It is of utmost importance to move from information to obedience. Studying the Bible gives information and revelation. Obedience is the practical application. Discuss how to apply what you have discovered.
5. This is No.1 in this series. Consider doing all 25 studies.
6. Are there people you can think of who may benefit from these studies? Contact them. Encourage them to gather a group of four people and do this series of Bible Studies.
7. This is the first study in a series of 25 studies to help you grow as a disciple and a disciple-maker, to give you practical guidelines to lead others to the Lord and make them disciples and disciple-makers.
Assurance of salvation
Many people who struggle have given their lives to Jesus and accepted Him as Lord and Saviour, but still have doubts that they are saved.
Read the following two passages carefully. There are several very important truths that we need to take note of:
- John 1:12-13
- John 3:16-18
Ask the following questions and write down things that stand out for you. See if you can get to 10.
1. What do we learn about God from these passages?
2. What do we learn about ourselves/other people from these passages?
3. Write down two of the most helpful things that help you to understand that you are saved.
4. How can you apply and integrate these truths into your life?
Write these things in a notebook. As you go through the week, you will find many answers - first for yourself but maybe also for some of your friends who are struggling with this question.
