Faith-Based Ways to Navigate Financial Uncertainty

DAY 3 OF 3

Welcome to the third and final day of Faith-based ways to navigate financial uncertainty. So far, we discussed the importance of leaning into the word and our community, and today we’ll remind ourselves to stay the course.

Financial stress will not last forever, but God’s promise is eternal. Trust me, when I was 19 years old and living (and bathing and eating) in my car, things looked bleak. Really bleak. I didn’t see a way out.

Thankfully, it’s not about what I can or cannot see, but my faith in the promise of God.

For we walk by faith, not by sight. - 2 Corinthians 5:7

Listen, as a financial educator and debt-free advocate, the economy is always changing, the fear will always exist and frankly, there’s a new “crisis” at least once a quarter. You cannot live your life afraid and stressed. You must learn to prepare as much as you can without the constant worry in your heart.

Money, although necessary, is man-made and you can’t take it with you when you go Home. Do what you can, educate yourself on the best practices, and trust. Trust yourself, trust God, and trust His plans for your life.

Before you get back to the stresses of the day, take 5 minutes to reflect on this verse: For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

What do you want your future to look like? What steps can you take today to bring you closer? Are there any habits you need to leave behind to ensure you get where you say you want to go? Remember, tough times don’t last, tough people do. Now, add faith and grace from the Most High and you cannot fail.

Stay the course and be encouraged. If you’d like some debt-free action items, please visit www.anthonyoneal.com where you’ll find a variety of free resources to get you on the right path.
