Praying With Othersনমুনা
Growing Relationships by Praying Together
Many of us miss out on so much because we only pray by ourselves. Yet, when Jesus gave us an outline for prayer, He spoke about praying together. There is power in joining with another in prayer. Corporate prayer opens up your heart to the needs of others. It brings feelings of encouragement, repentance, knowledge, joy, and love among believers. It also develops a spirit of togetherness as we submit to the will of God together. Deborah DeArmond shares how two people praying together can be open and vulnerable before each other and the Lord.

What an incredible challenge - not only for couples but for everyone. Find someone that you can pray with - your spouse, a family member, close friend, or fellow church member. Then commit to praying regularly with that person. In prayer, we align our lives with God’s purpose and leave our own desires behind. When it is all about God and His will, we can have confidence our prayers will be answered. Jesus says, “For where two or three come together in My name, I am there with them.” (Matthew 18:19-20). That's the power of praying with others!
