Day 10: Steward the Harvest:
Congratulations! You made it to the final day of the You Were Made to Flourish Plan. I pray that this plan has empowered you with principles from God’s Word that will enable you to thrive in every season of life!
On our 10th and final day, we’re talking all about stewardship.
When our harvest, our promise, finally comes, we can steward it well in two fundamental ways. First, in our speech, by glorifying God, and second, by multiplying our harvest with our actions.
In 1 Corinthians 3:6 (NIV), Paul showed the former when he wrote, “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.” Apart from God, we can do nothing. So when we receive our harvest, we must steward it well by verbally giving Him the glory! We flourish only by Him, through Him, in Him, and for Him. So, praise God for all He has done!
The second way to steward the harvest well is through our actions. We’ve got to multiply what He has given us. Matthew 25:14-30 confirms this truth in a parable. Take time to read this passage; if you grasp its message, it can change everything about your future.
In the parable, Jesus makes clear His definition of faithfulness: multiplication. We are faithful when we multiply the seeds from the harvest He brings. One of the best ways we can be faithful to what God has entrusted us with is through multiplication!
It helps to realize that what we’ve received is not ours, anyway. It’s God’s. He is simply allowing us to steward it. In Matthew 10:8b (NIV), Jesus says, “Freely you have received; freely give.” This cycle of generosity should never stop. We should always give to multiply the harvest for God’s Kingdom on the earth. As we give, we discover people on the other side of our obedience who need what we have. If we continue to multiply our harvest, like the faithful servant, we too will one day hear those beautiful words, “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
Thank you so much for joining me on this 10-day plan—but your journey doesn’t end here! Work to apply the biblical principles we discussed throughout this plan daily, lean into the Lord’s guidance, and remember, stay connected to the Source—Jesus Christ!
