What Would Courage Do?নমুনা
God gives me courage to live for Jesus.
The Bible verse tells us to turn from our selfish ways, take up our cross, and follow Jesus.
But how do you take up a cross? Do you really have to carry a cross around and die on it to follow Jesus?
No. Taking up your cross means focusing on the work and plan God has for you, even when it’s hard to do. Give up anything that distracts you from it. That takes a lot of courage, because you might be used to some of the selfish ways that distract you from God. Sometimes they’re hard to give up.
Ask God to help you. Ask Him to show you what you need to give up. Pray for His strength and courage to leave those old, selfish ways behind and keep your eyes on Jesus.
Watch the video, then use the Bible verse Mark 8:34 to make a Memory chain. It will help you remember that God gives you courage to live for Him!
Memory Chain
- Cut 35 strips of paper.
- Write each word from Mark 8:34 on a strip. Only put one word on each strip!
- You will have a few strips left over.
- Mix up the strips.
- Turn the strips into a paper chain with tape. Put the words in order!
- Take the chain apart and make it again!
