Recently we were on holiday at a place where we had all possible networks for our electronic devices; however, only a few had good reception. So we sat at all kinds of possible and impossible places to get reception. A horror scenario for every smartphone user: little reception, inadequate network, only 15% battery.

Silence means having “reception,” being connected with God.

What does your energy level look like?

1. Level: exhausted, drained out, out of energy, burned out, overloaded, knocked down
2. Level: angry, annoyed, worried, anxious
3. Level: calm and balanced
4. Level: confident, pleased, willing to work, strengthened, enthusiastic

You cannot increase your time, but you can increase your performance and your level of energy. How do you do that, you ask? Our energy grows in the silence!

Earl Nightingale says: “If you spend an extra hour each day of study in your chosen field, you will be a national expert in the field in five years or less.”

Actionstep:

Answer these three questions:

• Are you satisfied with your relationship with God?
• If you keep up the habit you have today, will you get to know God deeper in one year?
• Which simple thing can you change today to get to know God in a deeper way?
