Dearest Daughter: Motherly Advice for Moms Who Need Motheringনমুনা
Day Two: Motherhood is Holy
Dearest Daughter,
You do holy work every day in your home with your family. Wiping noses, changing diapers, and breaking up sibling fusses may not feel very holy, but it is to God. He cares deeply about you and your family, and He loves it when you follow Him by faith, asking for wisdom and help for your mothering.
By staying faithful and loving your family well in the power of the Holy Spirit, you send a message of love and faith to a time you will not see. You are raising the next generation of Christians who will raise the next generation of Christians- believe me, this is eternal work! The God in heaven who sees all the ways you sacrifice for your family will someday say to you: "Well done, good and faithful servant."
Keep going, dear one. God is with you and is so pleased with you!
Pray with me...
Heavenly Father, sometimes I get so tired and overwhelmed with all of the responsibilities and work that each day brings. Give me the energy and strength I need to do the next thing in my home. Help me not to look too far ahead into the future. Instead, help me live each day with Your help and joy. Help me to feel grateful that I get to be a mom and care for these little ones (and big ones) in my home. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
I love you, my precious daughter. I’m praying for you today.
Love,
Mama Deb (your second mama)
