Proverbs 4:10

“My child, listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life.”

PRINCIPLE:

Your Father has some good advice for you.

I have met thousands of men. None of them has told me they want to live a destructive life. Yet, countless men are roaming, aimless, have destructive habits, and are causing collateral damage to their families and friends. It doesn’t have to be that way.

God wants to speak to you as He would His son because that’s how He regards you, as He loves you like a son. Jesus said, “In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf. No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me…” (John 16:26)

Jesus clearly says that the Father wants a direct relationship with you. He desires you to listen to Him and do what He says so that you may have a long and good life.

The Apostle Paul tells us that honoring our Father comes with a promise, “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.” (Ephesians 6:3)

REMEMBER:

If you want a long and good life, listen to your Father.
