Stand in Confidence: From Sinking in Insecurity to Rising in Your God-Given Identityনমুনা
Take A Stand
Recently, I revisited words I wrote long ago, “I feel like my insecurities get in the way of everything in my life.” My jaw dropped. I could still remember how that insecurity felt. I remembered the crippling shame. Never feeling good enough. Feeling as if there were holes in the bucket of my soul. No matter how much love or affirmation poured in, it would inevitably drip out and leave me hungry for more.
But God, more than a decade later, has me leading a ministry called Confident Woman Co. and equipping other women to stand securely upon the finished work of Jesus. And here I am—a confident woman—after many painful years of sinking in insecurity. This truthful narrative is why I write these words to you now.
Over the next four days, we will challenge the false beliefs you’ve said “yes” to and explore the tools needed to write a new story. A true story. Why? Because that’s what God wants for you. He tells us in the Scriptures. Romans 5:2 says, “Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.”
Faith in Christ brings us into a place of privilege. Confidence. And joy! I’ve found that spiritual confidence, and now it’s time for YOU to access everything that Jesus came to give you.
Are you wondering how to make all this happen? I’ll introduce you to the Four Components of Confidence so that you can envision and move toward the spiritually confident woman God intended you to be.
1. Clarity—Embrace your identity and define your design.
2. Connection—Connect with God and connect with others.
3. Competency—Expand your capacity and sharpen your ability.
4. Conviction—Know your responsibility and use your authority.
These four pillars, when working together, create a framework for rock-solid confidence.
You have work to do, and some of it won’t come easily. But the good news is you’re not alone in this spiritual journey. I’m giving you the blueprint that led me to Christ-centered confidence, and more importantly, God is guiding you every step of the way.
In what areas of your life have you searched for confidence apart from Jesus? Ask Him to meet you with truth, wisdom, and understanding in these areas. Write down anything He calls to your attention.
About this Plan
Culture, church, and life have sold us narratives about who we’re supposed to be as women. We feel driven to people-please, downplay, and perform. Author and ministry leader Amanda Pittman explains how we can rewrite our damaging self-beliefs with the truth about our God-given identity by establishing God-shaped confidence. With new perspectives and focus, we will stand confidently upon the finished work of Jesus and live boldly in our callings.
