Moments for Mums: Power of Prayer for Mums - Part 2নমুনা
We often hear that mornings are key for setting the tone of our day. At times, I have taken this as another expectation to add the ‘perfect’ routine into my morning. Prayer tended to get lumped into that. I had ideas of what morning prayer should look like to be valid.
Rather than an expectation, this is an invitation. David says a few verses later, “But I, by your great love, can come into your house” (5:8). Before we get sucked into the vortex of our day, we can pause and refocus on God. We can release those things on our minds to him, so we don’t carry that heavy burden.
It doesn’t have to be long or fancy. It doesn’t have to look the same every day. A simple conversation with God. A time of quiet listening where we can enjoy being loved by him. Words are spoken in the quietness of your heart, out loud, or written in a journal.
Then we can wait expectantly. I see this as releasing the outcome to God, trusting that he is at work, and resting in that.

About this Plan
Prayer is one of those things we know we ‘should’ do as mums but can seem daunting or potentially disappointing. These devotions remind us of the importance of prayer and how we can weave it into our days as mums. Moments for Mums: Encouragement for mums in the midst of the beautiful mess of parenting and life.
