Finances in Marriageনমুনা

Having clear financial goals and a vision with your spouse is important. Chances are you already have them, even if you haven’t talked about it. It’s important for you and your spouse to share your financial goals so you can work towards a goal mutually rather than one of your dreams going unfulfilled.
Proverbs 13:12 says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.” This verse talks about the life that comes from a hope being fulfilled and the discouragement of unfulfilled hope. Out of love for your spouse, it’s essential to understand and invest in their financial hopes, so they are not discouraged by unfulfilled hopes. Take a moment to pause and pray that God would bring clarity to your financial hopes and give you the heart to understand your spouse’s. Then, put time on your family calendar to sit down with your spouse, listen to each other’s dreams, and pray that God would guide you to be faithful stewards as you work toward them.
