Holy Ambition নমুনা
A Courageous Soul
Developing a Courageous Soul is not easy. Whenever we choose to champion God’s agenda, we invade enemy territory. He doesn’t go down easily.
You will be in Satan's crosshairs as you seek to serve God’s Kingdom with your Holy Ambition.
You need to prepare for the tough times and remind yourself of what you're fighting for—for Whom you're fighting.
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. (John 16:33 NIV)
Be aware that external opposition will come. Satan's strategy may be a frontal attack that uses ridicule and fear. See Nehemiah 4 as an example of this.
There may be internal conflict, such as infighting among the people around you. Satan’s goal is division. Nehemiah 5 illustrates this dramatically.
Attacks on individuals—on you—are often very subtle, using deception or intimidation. Nehemiah 6 tells this difficult story.
When you feel overwhelmed, take heart. You are not alone.
For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. (2 Chronicles 16:9 NASB 1995)
Use the following lists of obstacles to Holy Ambition and the responses of a Courageous Soul. Then retrace your steps and resume your journey toward making a difference for God!
Three clues to the presence of opposition:
- ·Ridicule
- ·Criticism
- ·Discouragement
Four causes of discouragement:
- ·Loss of strength—you’re tired.
- ·Loss of vision and perspective—you’re feeling confused.
- ·Loss of confidence—you’re feeling uncertain.
- ·Loss of security—you’re feeling vulnerable.
Four keys to overcoming discouragement and maintaining a Courageous Soul:
- ·Be proactive: Do something practical and positive.
- ·Remember Who’s on your team: Remember the Lord.
- ·Fight! Fight! Fight!
- ·Never fight alone.
Set aside some time this week to review the material from these seven days. Carve out quiet time for study and prayer. Ask your circle of trusted people for feedback. Pray, then take that first step toward developing a Holy Ambition!
