How to Get Your Fight Backনমুনা
REJUVENATING YOUR FIGHT THROUGH THE WORD
The Word of God is many things — a rock to steady us when we falter, a lamp to illuminate a darkened path, a rejuvenating presence to fill an empty man — but, most importantly, it is fact.
Facts are not feelings. Facts are truth rooted in the unshakable. If the Word is unshakable, then why do we act so shaky when trouble comes our way? It is because we root ourselves in feelings rather than facts. “I don’t feel like it” has become our default. We “feel” like giving up. We “feel” like we deserve more but don’t want to work for it. We “feel” like we can’t make it, but our feelings can betray us based on what we see. Instead, why don’t we listen to what God told us to do?
Ezekiel was in a valley of bones. As far as he could see, everyone there was dead. But the Lord commanded him to prophesy to the bones. If Ezekiel had listened to his feelings, he would have remained silent, but instead, he “prophesied as he was commanded.” Ezekiel was convicted to prophesy because the Lord told him to, even if the evidence proved contrary. And he obeyed.
There is obedience in reading the Word of God and letting it take root in your life. It is a sign of love that we hear, listen, and follow through on what God says. If we are to get our fight back, we have to be open and obedient to God’s Word before we are obedient to how we feel. It is the difference between life and death: life in the Spirit or death in the flesh. Without the Word of God living in your heart, life’s circumstances become heavier until the only way to break the bow is to give in. You do not want that.
What is God asking you to do? Is He asking you to be still and know who He is? Is He asking you to pray more, read more, and seek Him first? Whatever He is asking of you, this is the time to do it. If you are unsure, God already planned for that; His Word is an excellent place to start. It will illuminate your path and light the way to His destiny for your life.
Regaining your fight requires obedience to His Word and His will.
