I Have Questionsনমুনা
Have you ever had stitches? They hurt, but they hurt because they are covering up a nasty wound. They're necessary for healing and protection. Sin is similar to that bad wound. We probably didn't mean to hurt ourselves, but we did — and now we need to heal. Just like we've all accidentally gotten hurt, we've also all chosen to do something sinful. It's inevitable. It always was. And God knows that. But if we want to heal, we need some stitches. There aren't any physical remedies for our sin, but when we take ownership of what we've done, healing can begin. It may not be easy, and it will probably hurt, but that's how healing happens. You do know that when you don't treat a wound, it can get infected, right? Our sins are like that too. When we don't deal with them, the damage can grow and spread.
Unfortunately, when we mess up or do things we regret, we'd rather hide or ignore them than deal with them. Dealing with them sounds too painful. God is good, ready to forgive, and ready to help us heal — but healing can only begin when we admit we need help.
How can we come to God after we have sinned?
