Celebrate Easterনমুনা
Have you ever received an invitation to a special event? A birthday party, a wedding, a Christmas or New Year’s Eve party? Being invited to something feels pretty special, to know that you’ve been chosen to celebrate it with others. A formal invitation usually includes a note to R.S.V.P to the host to let them know you’re coming. R.S.V.P. stands for a French phrase, “Répondez, s’il vous plaît,” which means, “Please reply.”
You and I are chosen and invited by God to something way better than any party. We are invited to be friends with God and to be part of God’s family. God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross so we could be made right with God. God showed His love for us through Christ Jesus.
We have been invited to follow Jesus and we are all given a choice to reply and accept that invitation. It’s up to us to “Please reply,” and respond to Christ’s invitation. We’re invited to make the choice to choose from living life our own way and choose to accept Him as our Lord and Saviour.
This invitation isn’t just for a select few VIPs, it’s not just for important people, rich people, or people who never do anything wrong. It’s an invitation for every person. Every person, everywhere no matter how old they are or where on the planet they live. How do we accept Christ’s invitation? The Bible makes it clear, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

If you have never responded to Christ's invitation, you can do that right now wherever you are. You can accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Pray this prayer
Dear Lord Jesus,
Today I ask You to come into my life and be my best friend. Forgive me for all the things I have done wrong. I believe You are the Son of God and that You died on the cross for my sins. Help me to love You and live for You every day. Because of You Jesus, today I am a Christian.
Amen.
