I Depend on His Word
Don't depend on preachers. Don't depend on the latest podcast, conference, event or author with a new revelation. I encourage you to depend on the Word of God.
When Moses died, God told Joshua to rise up and take his inheritance. But then he urges him to meditate on the scriptures day and night. And he reminds him that, if he does this, he will prosper and succeed.
Have you ever wondered what the formula for success is? As human beings, we always want to know what to do to do well in life. That's why many people write books or give lectures on this subject.
But the real foundation of prosperity and success is the Word of God.
God's desire is for your life to prosper and succeed. But for that to happen, we must depend on his Word. This is not a prosperity Gospel, because there is no such thing. There is simply the Gospel of Jesus, and Jesus prospers.
If you depend on his Word, as Psalm 119 says, it will be like a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. This implies clarity to make good decisions, foundation to live with a clean heart and walk with a firm step, confident that God is tracing our history. If you walk according to the path that the Word illuminates for your life, I assure you that you will know prosperity and success.
But you have to depend on his Word, not mine, but on His word. God left it so that we can dwell on it. There you will find the revelation of who Jesus is, who you are, and why you are on this earth.
Do you depend on His Word?
