Fight for the Faith: A Prayer Journey Thru Judeনমুনা
Day 17
On this journey through Jude, we now turn our attention to his call for Christ-followers to persevere!
Jude says, “But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ” (17). Indeed, we must remember all their words as well as the apostles’ way of life.
Of course, we can’t think of the Twelve without being warned by the example of Judas—we can follow Jesus casually, from a distance, yet not give our hearts to Him. Judas did so to his eternal peril. How tragic!
As we consider the apostles who spread the gospel in early church times, we’re reminded of the great price of their very lives they paid for doing so. Yet they did so willingly, because the message was so important and the hope of heaven was ever before them.
We also remember those in the Hebrews 11 “hall of faith,” and how they are examples to us in our lives and ministries. How inspirational!
Father God, as Jude reminds us, help me to remember the words and ways of these faithful first followers of Jesus—and may I emulate them in my generation, come what may!

About this Plan
Jesus said that we will know the truth, and the truth will set us free (John 8:31-32). Yet our enemy, the devil, is bent on twisting God’s truth in his all-out efforts to "steal, kill, and destroy" (John 10:10). The epistle of Jude exhorts us to contend for truth. Let’s pray through Jude, and be emboldened today to fight for the faith!
