Fight for the Faith: A Prayer Journey Thru Judeনমুনা
Day 22
As we near the conclusion of our journey through Jude, in the midst of the encouragement to fight for the faith, we’re also exhorted to be loving and gracious toward any who are confused or hesitant in any way about the faith. Jude tells us, “And have mercy on those who doubt” (22).
We who have become “strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might” (Ephesians 6:10) did not come to this place overnight—and we’re reminded that we’re all in process (Philippians 1:6) and no one has “arrived” (Philippians 3:12). Someone has walked with us; in like manner, may we walk alongside and invest in the spiritual lives of those around us.
Father God, I cannot help but think of Jesus’ graciousness toward the desperate dad who had begged Jesus to heal his son. When Jesus said, “All things are possible for one who believes,” the dad quickly responded, “I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:23-24). Jesus didn’t challenge the man at all but healed the boy. Similarly, use me to minister to all and especially reflect the same grace to any who doubt.
About this Plan
Jesus said that we will know the truth, and the truth will set us free (John 8:31-32). Yet our enemy, the devil, is bent on twisting God’s truth in his all-out efforts to "steal, kill, and destroy" (John 10:10). The epistle of Jude exhorts us to contend for truth. Let’s pray through Jude, and be emboldened today to fight for the faith!
