The 7 Sayings of Jesus on the Crossনমুনা
Luke 23:46 “Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit”
It was now almost time for Jesus to die and He says, “Father, Into Your Hands I commit My Spirit.”
This is significant because Jesus is communicating that He was willing to give up His Soul into the hands of God, The Father, and by doing so, God accepted His sacrifice as Jesus was the spotless sacrificial lamb. (See Hebrews 9:14)
Just as Jesus came to fulfill and was committed to God’s plan of salvation seeing it through to the very end, Jesus has also shown His commitment to you on The Cross through His sacrifice for your sin.
May you in turn seek, love, and serve Him with all that is within you.
Commit your whole life, body, soul, mind, and spirit to serving and being led by His Spirit.
Commit your life into the hands of Jesus because it’s through His hands that all things are held together.
Throughout your life, may your prayer be, “Father, I commit my life wholeheartedly to you.”
Pause and remember how Jesus committed His Spirit to The Father as He was about to die and thank and praise God The Father for accepting His sacrifice.
