CHOOSE BLESSING OR CURSES?
Everyday we have to face choices and decisions. Starting from morning when we wake up until night before sleeping, we have to choose the clothes we want to wear, what we want for our lunch and so forth.
The choices in this life can determine our future. The choice may be about school, work, business, even a spouse. That's why we have to be careful in our choices.
The Israelites were confronted with choices by God. They had to choose blessings or curses, life or death. If they chose blessings then they had to listen, pay attention and obey all God’s commandments. On the contrary, if they rejected and opposed God's commandments, the curse would befall them and their descendants.
As His people, the same choice is confronted by us. Jesus has endured all the curses and sins on the cross. Therefore, we are granted His power to do His words and receive His blessings.
What is our choice? Jeremiah 29:11, is God's promise to us. The promise will be fulfilled if we live the Word of God every day. John 10:10 says that Jesus Christ came into our lives to bless us abundantly, but the enemy will bring a curse to those who follow him. The proof that we love God is if we do what He commanded and live to glorify Him.
The decision is entirely in our hands. Which one will we choose? Life or death?
