Love God Greatly: Estherনমুনা

When the news of the edict reached the people, there was great mourning. The Jews had been through tremendous difficulty and had fought to keep their national identity alive in a foreign land. Now they had to face the reality that there were still many evil people who longed for their destruction. 

In the midst of their sorrow, God was present. Though they could not see His movements, God was working. When we come to God like Mordecai did, with a humble and broken heart, we can be confident that God hears us. As we approach God with humility, He is faithful to work on our behalf. 

Dear God, Help me to always approach life with humility. Reveal to me when my motives are not pure and help me always give advice that comes from a heart that loves you and a mind that is focused on Your truth. Amen.
