Love God Greatly: Estherনমুনা

King Ahaserus sat down and drank with Haman. He was confident that Haman had advised him properly, and that Haman was faithful and had Ahaserus’ best interests at heart.
Proverbs 25:19 gives us a different perspective. Haman was confident, but he was not faithful to the true needs of the kingdom. Have you ever tried to chew food when you have a broken tooth? It's very difficult to keep food to one side of your mouth! Walking with a twisted ankle is slow and painful. In time, King Ahaserus would come to understand how Haman's unwise advice was dangerous to the kingdom.
Dear God, Help me not to trust people who do not have my best interests in mind. Give me eyes to see them for who they really are and wisdom not to listen to their “words of advice.” Amen

About this Plan

Esther is an incredible story that reminds us God is always working. From this story, we learn there is no such thing as "coincidence." Though God may seem distant, even absent at times, He is present. God is always with us and at work in our lives, just like He was in Esther's so many years ago.
