Love God Greatly - 1 & 2 Peterনমুনা
Peter writes this second letter to the same Jewish Christians that he wrote before. However, he knew that it was close to the end of his life. He wanted to warn then against false teachers and ensure that they would stand strong in the faith. Peter reminds the Christians that God through Jesus has given us everything we need for life and godliness. God has held nothing back. There is no reason that believers should not be able to live the holy life because, God has promised His power and presence to assist us. He reminds Christians that we have been called by God and have escaped the corruption in world.
Are you struggling with your identity in Christ? Do you still see yourself as a sinner? Or do you see yourself as a daughter of God, loved, forgiven, and redeemed with exceedingly great and precious promises? Will you pray today and ask to begin to see yourself as God sees you, as a partaker of His divine nature with His divine power?
