What Courage Looks Likeনমুনা
Courage looks like trusting in God’s strength.
The past few days, we’ve talked a lot about courage. We’ve learned it doesn’t have to be an extraordinary, heroic act, but courage is taking baby steps every day outside your comfort zone. It’s also learning to trust God with the things you’re afraid of and doing them even though you’re still scared. And courage cares enough about others to stand up for what’s right over what’s easy.
So how can you live a courageous life? You’ve got to trust God. You can’t rely on yourself to be courageous. But through Christ, you can do all things. Christ is courageous enough for you, so when you ask Him for help, He will give it to you and never leave you.
Courage looks like trusting in God’s strength, even when you’re still scared of what might happen. It’s taking everyday steps into the unknown by listening and doing what God tells you to do.
When you live courageously, you’re inspiring people with your story, just like David, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Your courage will inspire others to look on and wonder where you found that bravery. Then, you get to give God the glory, showing people that God can make them brave.
So what are you waiting for? Take some ordinary steps into bravery today. You just might find that eventually, you’re living an extraordinary story after all.
Pray: God, thank You for never leaving me and for giving me courage when I ask You for it. Show me what You want me to do, help me stand up for what’s right, and help me love others the way You love them. Today and every day, help me start living a courageous life outside my comfort zone. Thank You for who You are. In Jesus’ name, amen.
